Council of Second Language Programs in Canada
Canada is a bilingual nation with two official languages:
English and French. For over a century, Canada's two languages
have been taught by our many fine educational institutions to
students from all over the world. As a result, Canadian
universities and colleges have developed a great deal of
expertise and experience in the delivery of language training.
Canada offers many opportunites for students of every age and
background to study English and French.
The Council of Second Language Programs in Canada is an
association of post secondary institutions offering intensive
language training in English or French. All members are public
institutions recognized by the Ministries of Education in each
province.
The principal objectives of the Council are the promotion of its
language programs and teaching excellence. All members conform
to the standards defined by the general assembly.
Choosing a program at a Council of Second Language Institution
guarantees an institution offering quality language programs and
teaching excellence.
