Established in 1980, Coretec (TSE: CYY) is one of the leading fabricators of printed circuit boards ('PCBs') for the Prototype and quick turnaround ('QTA') production segments of the North American and European markets. The Prototype and QTA segments represent two fo the most profitable and fastest growing segments of the PCB market. The Corporation distinguishes itself from its competitors by providing complete PCB service solutions including highly engineered design, advanced prototyping and QTA production.
Coretec conducts manufacturing and engineering activities from facilities strategically located in Canada, the United States and Europe. Coretec operates two product specific manufacturing facilities approximating 100, 000 square feet in Toronto, Ontario as well as a 2, 000 square foot CAD design operation in Guelph, Ontario. In June 2000, Coretec purchased a 93, 000 square foot building in Toronto. This site is intended to house an advanced PCB manufacturing facility for HDI products as well as accommodate Coretec's Sales and General Administration, CAD/CAM Engineering and research and development ('R&D') operations.
In the United States, Coretec operates out of three field application engineering ('FAE') offices located in Minneapolis, Boston and Philadelphia. Coretec also acquired S. A. S. Circuits in September, 2000. S. A. S. is a fabricator of prototype and high- reliability military and commercial printed circuit boards operating out of a 25, 000 square foot facility with approximately 65 employees. In Europe, Coretec operates a FAE office in Peterborough, England servicing the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium and The Netherlands.
Coretec's marketing and sales focus is on servicing the product engineering requirements and expedited time-to-market needs of some of North America's leading original equipment manufacturers ('OEMs') and contract electronics manufacturers ('CEMs'). The Corporation targets its sales efforts on market leaders in the fastest growing and most technologically demanding segments of the electronics industry; namely telecommunications, computer, industrial, government (military/aerospace) and automotive.
Coretec holds active memberships in IPC, ITRI, CMAP, IMAPS and holds approvals for ISO9002, SGS, ISO 14001, UL and MIL-P-55110.
