Community Health Partners (CHP) is a strategic alliance between James G. Heller Consulting Inc. and GlobalTox International Consultants Inc. CHP brings together the three principal stakeholders community, government and industry to facilitate any major undertaking with potential risks to a community's perceived health, safety and quality of life. These can include future projects (e.g. waste management, power generation, etc.) that create economic opportunities at the same time as NIMBY concerns. CHP addresses the basis for those concerns in two ways. First, it facilitates the estabishment and operation of a stakeholdeer consensus committee. Secondly, CHP develops and maintains indicators of wellness and illness that serve as an ongoing monitor to provide early and evidence based warning of risk potentially relatable to the project. This strategy provides the best available safeguard for the communitys assurance because it is based on accessible, understandable, valid and reliable medical and scientific evidence of its own health. In addition, this same strategy can be applied to legacy projects involving, for example, the disposition of historically contaminated sites under regulatory authority. CHP unlocks the economic benefits of major projects.
