Comenco Systems Inc.

ComEnCo Systems Inc., incorporated in 1991, specialises in the process combustion field and the related pollution control techniques required to meet local and national agency requirements. The company is privately owned and conducts its business through technical agencies and trading partners world-wide. Strong engineering support and attention to detail permits the company to fabricate its products, under the supervision of its own people, in the world market. Strategic alliances have permitted large contracts to be undertaken encompassing a broad range of technologies.

ComEnCo Systems Inc. is a Sales and Engineering company dedicated to Research and Development. We produce custom and standard designed industrial products to meet the specific requirements of our customers.

Our products are designed and developed specifically to service the needs of the Process Heating Industry where high temperatures are required to produce their final product. The application of our own high temperature heat exchangers make our products amongst the most fuel efficient in the industry. Other products related to the destruction of Airborne Volatile Organic Compounds, Odours and Soil Remediation answer the call for cost-effective air pollution and fuel contaminated ground clean up.

Products/Services: thermal and catalytic oxidizers to control industrial exhaust emissions; regenerative thermal oxidisers; fume concentration systems; soil remediation systems to control and destroy vapours from soil venting systems; vapour abatement systems for tank venting; energy recovery systems; coil coating line systems; packaged process air heaters; technical field service and representation; commissioning services.

ComEnCo Systems Inc. has established a good foothold with in the Pacific Rim with industry related to environmental control and paint finishing and continues to build on the company's fine reputation in this area. Products and Services have already been provided to companies located in: Canada, USA, Mexico, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Philippines, Australia, and New Zealand.

Conversion System Using Catalysis
With exhausts from the processes being organically based and a mix of solvents that cannot be reclaimed for reuse, ComEnCo Systems Inc. has developed a conversion system using catalysis. This process employs temperatures and dwell times considerably lower than conventional oxidation systems. The result produces conversion of VOC levels to meet the most stringent air pollution control requirements at much reduced fuel costs. The process exhaust is first passed through the unit's heat exchanger, using the heat generated in the oxidation process, to increase the exhaust's temperature. This reduces the quantity of supplementary fuel required to raise the exhaust temperature to reach the catalyst operating requirements. Typically these units will produce acceptable conversion levels at temperatures off the catalyst of 426C (800F). These packaged systems are provided with heat exchanger, burner with controls, catalyst and enclosure, pre-tested and ready for installation. Larger systems are assembled in easily shipped and field assembled sections. Typical applications in the environmental field include: automotive; flexographic and lithographic printing; plastics curing and painting; latex curing; beverage can coating; wire enamelling; meat processing; coffee bean roasting; fabric coating; chemical processes; converting process; and electronics. Systems are capable of destroying both chlorinated and non-chlorinated hydrocarbons.

Series Pai Thermal Fume Abatement System (recuperative And Non-recuperative).
Process exhaust are preheated prior to their introduction to the burner. Temperatures are typically raised to 760-870C (1400-1600F) where they are held for dwell times of 0.75 to 1.0 second attaining conversion levels of in excess of 99%. The ComEnCo Systems all employ the basics of time, temperature and turbulence and in most cases obtain the desired conversion levels below the operating temperatures of competitive units. These packaged units are provided with heat exchangers, burners and controls, enclosure and our pre-tested prior to shipment. Larger systems are assembled in easily shipped and field assembled sections. Typical applications in the environmental field include: automotive painting; flexographic and lithographic printing; plastics curing and painting; latex curing; beverage can coating; wire enamelling; meat processing; coffee bean roasting; fabric coating; chemical processes; converting processes; electronics.

Mobile Soil Remediation And Vapour Abatements Systems (ctc Series).
ComEnCo Systems Inc. of Concord, Ontario develops, manufactures and markets this mobile computer controlled dual function system oxidation unit that is presently in the application process for Canadian and world-wide patents. The CTC Series unit combines both thermal and catalytic oxidation technology using vapour extraction from the contaminated area through a series of wells connected by a piping system to the mobile CTC Unit. These vapours are then blended with specific volumes of air and if necessary supplementary fuel to ensure the most energy efficient destruction of the volatile organic compounds (VOC ). The systems are capable of destroying chlorinated and non-chlorinated hydrocarbons. The on board computer system ensures system operational integrity, monitors all safety limit functions, accumulates operational data and by means of a modem, provides real time operational data to the user's home based P.C. Remote functions include starting and stopping, resetting operating parameters, trouble shooting through the PLC system, downloading of accumulated operational records and notification of system malfunctions and security breaches. Typical applications in the environmental field include: petrochemical distribution centres; commercial and retail gasoline distribution stations; petrochemical and refinery tank venting system; paint storage and mixing facilities; off gas destruction from landfill sites. The mobile concept is particularly well suited to institute site clean up of gasoline station tank leakage contamination. Most applications have met acceptable levels within 3 to 6 months of treatment without disruption to the retail facility. Once the site meets acceptable levels the unit is hitched to a one ton truck and towed to the next facility. Independent testing laboratories monitor destruction levels in excess of 99%.
