Coil Cars
Coil Cars
The Colt Heavy Duty Coil Car is designed for the purpose of
loading new coils on to the Uncoilers thus keeping the down time
in the Press Feeding Cycle to a minimum. These Coil Cars are
self contained with their own hydraulic power pack and have the
capability to accurately position the Coil on the Mandrel of the
Uncoiler thus preventing possible damage to the Uncoiler Mandrel
or to the material. The use of the Coil Car is recommended for
situations where material handling equipment is not always
available to load coils on to the Uncoiler therefore preventing
excessive delays in re-loading the Uncoiler. The Coil Car is
available for this purpose. The hydraulic power is used for
raising and lowering the table and also provides forward and
reverse travel motion.
Uncoilers Reels
The Light, Medium and Heavy Duty Reel Uncoilers are designed to
handle coils up to a maximum of 70,000 lbs., a diameter to 84
in. O.D. and a width up to 84 in. Of rugged construction, long
equipment life is ensured by the use of a variable speed A.C. frequency drive, the controlled acceleration and deceleration removes all shock and impact in the drive train normally associated with intermittent motion. Automatic loop control assures that
material is fed from the coil at precisely the speed required to
maintain a regular flow through the entire line. Forward/Reverse
and jog controls permit accurate in-feed and rewind operations.
Colt Coil Handling Equipment
Colt Coil Handling equipment consists of Coil Cars, Uncoiler
Reels, and Cradles, that have the capability of handling coils
weighing up to 70,000lb., 84' wide and 84' diameter.
Press Feeding Equipment
The Press Feeding equipment includes Straighteners, and
Roll Feed Units automated with the latest control devices for
programming optimum service conditions that provide maximum
production output.
Combination machines (Systems) are available to suit
requirements where space may be limited i.e
Cradle/Straighteners/Feeders with servo drives that permit
complete system control.
Power Straightener
Colt provides a range of Straightener including Medium and Heavy
Duty Straighteners. Colt's Heavy Duty Straightener utilizes an
adjustable roll bank in conjunction with entry & exit pinch
rolls. The Pinch Rollers have Pneumatic lifters and are
available with satin finish for greater surface traction. This
unit also incorporates dial indicators for reading and setting
of the upper bank of straightening coils
Services
Training
Colt understands the importance of proper installation and
proper training for users of Colt equipment. To ensure that Colt
machinery is properly installed and performing to capacity, Colt
provides a start-up service along with operator training to
obtain the maximum efficiency and output from the equipment.
Colt's professional on site training program covers not only
operating procedures but also detailed maintenance and safety
procedures.
