Canreel was established in 1988 as a manufacturer of innovative fishing tackle. With their patented design, Canreel lures quickly became the industry standard.
In 1991, utilizing its state-of-the-art equipment, the company started manufacturing high quality pewter products for the corporate premium incentive market.
Today, with staff of highly skilled craftsmen and the latest in computer graphics design, the company has become a leading manufacturer of pewter premium incentives.
Canreel fine pewter offers a complete line of products ranging from lapel pins to decrorated glassware and everything in between. Every design is customized with meticulous attention to detail, to fit the corporate image of each client.
Canreel Lures has been manufacturing a full line of 'Tournament Quality' spinner baits, buzz baits, muskie baits, flipping jigs, worm weights, ball head jigs, tube head jigs and a variety of jigs and lure components from its manufacturing facility in Toronto. These products are packaged and sold under the trade name 'Canreel Lures'. Various jigs and lure components are also sold in bulk form.
In 1991 Canreel Lures introduced new product lines. The spinner bait and buzz bait line became available with a Teflon-Coatingon wire. The company also introduced a premium line of flipping jigs with owner hooks. The sharpness of the hook improved this jig's 'hook-set' capabilities. Innovative improvements such as these have made Canreel Lures a leader in the fishing lure industry.
Currently, 89 percent of the company's sales activity is in Canada with the remainder to the United States. The Company's products are sold through major distributors in Ontario and Quebec as well as a leading Canadian retailer. The United States is represented by a manufacturer's group and direct sale act.
