Canadian Flight Centre

Canadian IFR Rating, the parent company of Canadian Flight
Centre, is a private company founded in 1979. Canadian IFR
Rating was the first flight school in Canada to offer only
advanced instrument training for the professional pilot. Over
the years, more than 1800 pilots have successfully trained with
us, and we are proud of this record.

Our school was originally located at the Vancouver International
Airport. In 1987 we expanded our operation to include training
for the Commercial and Private Pilot license. In addition, pilots
can obtain a night rating, multi-engine rating, instructor rating
and multi-engine instrument rating. Those pilots wishing to
obtain an instrument rating will be exposed to actual 'in cloud'
flight training. Vancouver's proximity to the Coastal Mountains
allows pilots the opportunity for mountain flying, and float
ratings can also be arranged.

Our training aircraft is the well-proven Piper Cherokee 140, a
modern, all-metal, low-wing aircraft. In addition, we also
operate a Cessna 172,Cherokee Warriors, a Piper Arrow, and a
Piper Seminole for more advanced training and for rental.

Our location at Boundary Bay Airport in Delta provides a fine
facility with multiple runways and excellent weather during the
winter with many practice areas close by. The airport is situated
near to Greater Vancouver to provide easy access from most areas
of the Lower Mainland.

We have been involved in training pilots from many countries,
including England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan and
Mexico. We feel there is a great potential market abroad for
students to train in British Columbia, and specifically with
Canadian Flight Centre.

We can offer more personalized instruction than other schools.
We are also prepared to help students in obtaining home stay
accommodation.

Canadian Flight Centre is very interested in attracting foreign
and domestic students for flight training in a professional,
stimulating environment.
