Process
Step #1 Customers provide part drawings or models.
Step #2 Our Mold Makers design the mold according to the yearly
parts requirements of our Customer. This will determine if it is
to be a single cavity, multi cavity, hot runner mold. Based on
this information the mold making material is determined.
Positioning of gates, knock-outs, vents and cooling lines are
determined;
Step #3 Customers have the opportunity to review and approve
mold drawings. All material is ordered;
Step #4 Calcutron Mold Makers then machine the mold material to
the proper configuration to produce the part;
Step #5 Once mold development is complete, the mold is sampled
and the parts will be quality assured for dimensional
correctness;
Step #6 All errors will be corrected and any further
modifications to the mold that are required are made;
Step #7 Sampling is done again ensuring correctness.
