CMC Microsystems
CMC Microsystems builds partnerships among government, industry and universities to enable and accelerate Canadas global competitiveness in microsystems. CMC provides leading-edge tools and technologies for world-class research leading to innovation and the increased commercial potential of microsystems.
Established in 1984, CMC is a non-profit corporation funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), with matching contributions from industry in the form of technology, services and cash. CMC also manages major grants from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) and the Ontario Innovation Trust (OIT) through Queens University. Additional funds flow to CMC from the provinces of Qubec and Manitoba. CMC's membership includes 42 universities, one college, and 31 industrial organizations. CMC helps researchers design, manufacture and test microsystems for future applications in many industrial sectors.

-Access to state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies for virtual prototyping (Ex: FPGA) and prototype manufacturing (ex: chips)
