The objectives of the Canadian Land Reclamation Association are:
To further knowledge and encourage investigation of problems and solutions in land reclamation.; to provide opportunities for those interested in and concerned with land reclamation to meet and exchange information, ideas and experience; to incorporate the advances from research and practical experience into land reclamation planning and practice; to collect information relating to land reclamation and publish periodicals, books and leaflets which the Association may think desirable; to encourage education in the field of land reclamation; to provide awards for noteworthy achievements in the field of land reclamation.
The Canadian Land Reclamation Association (CLRA/ACRSD), a non-profit organization incorporated in 1975, encourages personal and corporate involvement in reclamation. Members meet annually for technical discussion, information exchange and personal interaction. By providing its members with up-to-date technical information through the publication of its newsletter, the 'Canadian Reclamation' magazine and the proceedings of its annual conference, the CLRA/ACRSD plays an informal, instructional role in the decision-making process of land reclamation/rehabilitation projects. Membership in the Association is available to anyone interested in or actively engaged in reclamation activities.

The Canadian Land Reclamation Association is a non-profit organization incorporated in Canada in 1975 with corresponding members throughout North America and other countries. The Association is a founding member of the International Affiliation of Land Reclamationists (IALR).
Those interested in or actively engaged in reclamation activities may become CLRA/ACRSD members. Membership fees range from $15 for full-time students to $200/annum for corporate members and include a subscription to the Reclamation Newsletter, the Canadian Reclamation magazine and the IALR Newsletter.
