CFN Consultants offers consulting services to companies wishing
to do business with Canadian federal government departments and
in particular, with the Department of National Defence. CFN's
Partners and Associates offer an in-depth and comprehensive
understanding of departmental corporate administration,
organization and culture including policies, planning, practices
and requirements associated with operations, training, personnel
issues, project management, maintenance and logistics support
programs, the federal contracting process including financial and
budgeting matters, industrial benefit planning and research and
development activities.
Our primary services include, inter alia: assistance in the
formulation of strategic business planning; assessment of
technical requirements, risk, operational needs and budgetary
limitations; analysis of options and trade-offs relating to
federal government programs, plans, budgets and procurement
priorities and trade and procurement policies and regulations.
CFN also provides advice on NATO and United Nations procurement
opportunities and strategies.
Other services include assistance to clients in developing
competitive bids and unsolicited proposals. Specifically, CFN
works closely with clients to: identify achievable competitive
opportunities; select partners and negotiate teaming
arrangements; analyse the acceptability of proposed solutions;
participate in red-teaming of proposals and development of
suitable communnications plans in support of a proposal
submission. CFN also works with clients to: establish and
maintain a positive relationship with the customer departments;
develop successful strategies for the selection of team partners
for major subcontracts; develop contingency plans to deal with
unexpected problems; and, develop strategies for the resolution
of disputes. CFN is also able to provide advice on industrial
benefits, life cycle support and government/industry partnering.
