Started up in may 2003, Cagex and its founder, Alain Renaud, earned a Champions award from its employer, Sobey's, for the design of the Thermo-Box ( 03-200) module wich solved the problems relating to the handling and delivery of fresh and frozen food, while reducing costs and meeting HACCP standards. Altough designed for the food industry, the module can help a variety of industries who are faced with the constraints of a product that needs a controlled environment during production, storage and delivery. It is fitted with a patended air chamber reduction device that prevents the products from being subjected the ambiant air and temperature variations.

The basic module is made of a galvanized steel cage, fitted with walls, bottom and top made of a high density insulating foam, covered on both sides with a sheet of metal and a sheet of plastic. The final assembly shows a smooth interior surface, easy to clean with a water hose. Inside corners are made of aluminium, screwed in and lined with a leak proof joint.

An isothermal container like the Thermo-Box, but designed to hold a complete standard pallet ( 40 X 48 inches). It also procures a 20 hours delay for the safe delivery, within HACCP standards, of frozen food, without having to resort to frozen area in trucks, or the use of ice. Greater delays can be reached, with carbonic ice. With Thermo-Pallet, you can deliver frozen food with dry or fresh food and have all of you customer's order in order of delivery. The Thermo-Pallet will work with wood or plastic pallets. The Thermo-Pallet weighs 1, 000 pounds and must be moved with the proper equipment, manual or mecanized. Build to last 25 years with minimal maintenance, it was designed to be used in food distribution centres delivering to stores.
