Biotechnology Human Resource Council

BHRC is an industry government partnership between Human
Resources Development Canada and the biotechnology industry. The BHRC was created in April 1997 in response to the 1996
Government of Canada Human Resource study on the biotechnology sector. This study proposed a series of recommendations to ensure that the Canadian biotechnology sector has access the skilled employees it requires, both now and in the future.

What do we do?

1. Help Canadian companies develop the qualified staff necessary
for commercial success.
2. Facilitate industry involvement in skills training and
upgrading for employees.
3. Help the Canadian biotechnology sector strategically manage
its workforce with human resource tools and HR intelligence
services.
4. Facilitate the entry of new workers to the biotech sector
thorugh the communication of job opportunities to a broad
audience.
