MPEG 1,2,4 and Windows Media products include hardware and software converters, from entry level US$300 products to
US$30K+ professional system. I-link (IEEE1394) compatible DV
capture cards are available. MPEG 1&2
editors offered are DVD or VCD conformed. MPEG players include
PCI cards, software for MPEG 1,2,4, DVD and VCD
playback.
Internet and Intranet streaming, at low speed to 56Kbps are
covered by Digital Rapids and Osprey cards for Windows Media player, Real Networks
and Quick time format. Optibase product covers UDP over IP, MPEG
1&2 based streaming, for up to 15Mbps.
Internet, Intranet and dial up security products are available
from Chance-i, Darim, ILDVR and GeoVision, most are MPEG4, H.264 or MHPEG based, for multiple cameras using web or
leased line for remote surveillance.
BernClare also carries PC-TV or TV-PC converters. A new
'Titling' software is developed for Karaoke and subtitle
creation, to overlay synchronized text onto videos via PC-TV
genlock controller. This software can also be used as Karaoke
input for DVD creation.
