'L'abattoir A. L.' Bellerive is a slaughterhouse specialised in the slaughtering and transformation of calves meat whether it is grained meat fed or milk meat fed. The company is located in Ste-Angele-de-Premont about half way between Montreal and Quebec city. It's been operating there since 20 years. The growth of this industry has always been increasing throughout those years. By now it has reach a turnover of 30 millions CDN. There is 70 people who are working every day split into 5 divisions which are: slaughtering, skinning, cutting, administration and the cleaning team. In 1997 we processed more than 36, 000 calves. We are a Federal approved plant; number 40. THE MENTALITY OF THE ENTERPRISE. Our mentality is based on the quality of the products. We work every day as a team. 'L'abattoir A. L. Bellerive' is the only slaughterhouse in the province of Quebec to supply all the main food chains. Our products are exactly responding to the specifications of our trading customers. Among those products we are selling carcasses, half carcasses, and boneless meat packed in cry-o-vac. We sell those products fresh or frozen as our customers ask. THE QUALITY OF OUR PRODUCTS:
For us at 'A. L. Bellerive' we always make sure to buy the best calves available on the market. OUR FUTURE PROJECTS:
We are planning an important investment in the next year. In that investment we are aiming to meet the HACCP and EEC standards by the end of 1998. Therefore our productivity will largely increase so as the volume of our production and we are wishing to settle new relations with potential customers in the World. We are also studying the possibilities to invest in a counter ready plant so we will be able to reach more customers. Developing the international market is for us a goal where we are ready to invest time and money. For those reasons we are searching industries ready to talk about the chances to open new markets for us all across the world.
