Bell Helicopter Textron Canada Limited, (BHTCL) is the commercial helicopter division of Bell Helicopter Textron, the world's leader in vertical take-off aircraft.
BHTCL, located just north of Montreal, at Mirabel Quebec is responsible for design, certification and manufacture of Bell Helicopter Textron's complete line of commercial helicopters.
In 2004, BHTCL manufactured and delivered to customers world-wide, 35% of the world's civil certified turbine helicopters. At the Mirabel facility BHTCL manufactures 7 models covering the light, intermediate and medium helicopter classes.
The light class comprises the Bell 206 B JetRanger III 5 place helicopter, the 7 place Bell 206 L IV LongRanger, the 4 bladed 7 place Bell 407, the VFR light twin 8 place Bell 427 and the new IFR light twin 8 place 429 the first of the Modular Affordable Product Line(MAPL). The intermediate class consists of the four bladed, extended fuselage Bell 430. The medium class comprises the 15 place 4 bladed 412 EP round out the medium class. Project.
