Established in 1997 as an alternative source for bear/animal proof waste containers, Bear Necessities designed, patented and manufactures a cost effective, safe, and easy to use container. Recommended by chiropractors, physio therapists, and bear experts, our receptacles ranging in size from 40 gallons to 8 cubic yards will store waste securely in environments where animal/human conflict is a concern. The ergonomic design permits easy access for the public as well as the employees charged with emptying the waste. We pay special attention to the details of safety to the public in an effort to reduce governmental liabilities. On the rear access door, an emergency release chain so that in the event of a child becoming accidentally trapped, escape is possible. All product is fabricated from 100 per cent 12 gauge galvaneal with automobile paint applied by the electrostratic process. The interior of all units is sealed with a rubber lining to prevent corrosion and extending the life of the units. Our hydraulic activated commercial units are designed to maximize volume capacity and readily interface with existing side load waste transfer vehicles. Food storage lockers for campgrounds in remote areas, secures food and toiletries. Custom fabrication to meet your area's specific needs is available. Bear Necessities is also a Canadian sales representative for a waste-to-energy system developed by Michigan based Basic Envirotech Inc.
