Barry J. Hobin and Associates Architects Incorporated offers a comprehensive range of services within the commercial, institutional, residential and entertainment sectors. Established in 1979, the firm has maintained a steady and continual growth founded on careful planning and client satisfaction. We are members of the Ontario Association of Architects and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
The firm currently consists of twenty five professional staff including
five registered architects. The staff profile represents a consistent
group of long term employees whose technical skill and specialized
experience covers both the depth and breadth of the building industry.
The firm takes pride in having maintained staff longevity given the
usual high and low nature of the economy.
The office is optimally staffed; large enough to provide the technical
and administrative skill to undertake projects of significant scale,
yet small enough to ensure the continuity and personal attention which we believe essential to design quality and a professionally responsible service.
The firm is actively involved in the design of unique projects throughout the region of Ottawa-Carleton and across Canada. These projects include the full spectrum of clients ranging from one time private commissions to repeat clients such as the National Capital Commission, Ottawa-Carleton Board of Education, the Ottawa Jewish Community, Tamarack Developments, Minto Developments, Famous Players Incorporated, and Trinity Developments.
The firm has become a successful, award winning enterprise based on innovative design concepts, and strong project management skills.
All projects, regardless of scale, receive meticulous attention with
respect to cost effectiveness, technical and detail resolution and
the analysis of operating costs versus capital costs. This attention
to detail has become the hallmark of Barry J. Hobin & Associates and
