Equipment), established in Canada in 1980, are a division of
Baldwin & Francis Ltd. located in the United Kingdom who have
more than 50 years experience in the design, manufacture and
supply of flameproof and intrinsically safe electrical equipment
for the mining industry.
Baldwin & Francis (Electrical) Ltd. is the Canadian Agent for
other United Kingdom Companies such as DAC Ltd. (Radio &
Communication Systems), Clayton Equipment (locomotives), Morley
Engineering (motors), Edgcumbe Instruments (Insulation Testers),
Clarke Chapman (Conveyer Control Switches), and Status
Engineering (Power Supplies, Pre-start Alarms, and Gas
Monitoring Equipment).
With our factory located in Sydney, Nova Scotia, B&F's Service
Department can offer repairs and refurbishment of FLP Switchgear
and we are a main supplier to Cape Breton Development Corporation
in Nova Scotia as well as Quinsam Coal Corp. in British Columbia.
Our marketing activities at present are mostly limited to Canada
as our Parent Company covers outside Canada.
