I've provided face painting to Elementary Schools, Pre-Schools, High School students, Sports Teams and the general local public for ages 1-91 years old throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Murals that I've painted in the past have been provided for a local Baptist Deacon, a Veterans Affairs Official, a family of RCMP officers, a Software Engineer, a Coast Guard employee, many DND employees, a Pre-school, a High end Dance Studio, a Bellydance & Irish Dance Studio (in British Columbia while on holidays) and much more.

The best success story that I can think of is, vainly; me.

Artsy Fartsy started out as a small general interest company that was initially called 'Mural Works for Me.' Owner, Artist and Founder, Lianne MacNeil, worked many unpaid hours in order to practice and hone her art and creative genius until we see the business we have today. Hours spent learning about market analysis, the difference between Advertising & Publicity plus how to appeal to the public on a personal level as well as a professional level. Figuring out how to create, shape, mould and maintain a website without the help of a 'real' software company doing all the work. Relying on the public library for books on 'building your own website... learning how to work with 'gif' files, 'jpg' files, 'tif' and 'tpx'... maximizing, minimizing and harmonizing a full html website. Learning to love GOOGLE, html, Geocities and Yahoo and how to successfully search, re-route and use the correct language needed for top-notch website use. Self-teaching 3 brand new computer programs and utilizing Microsoft Word, Paint & Excel for all they are worth on a daily and hourly basis. The time and effort taken to answer emails or phone calls with a positive and sales-minded manner while learning the correct lingo and style to 'sell every inquiry... thanks again to sales-type books from the local public library. Constantly wracking the brains of friends, family, co-workers, strangers at play groups, school playgrounds, grocery lines, local website polls on a regular....... let me stress REGULAR basis about what does & doesn't work and what the public wants in this field of work. Offering so much free and complimentary face painting, murals and discount projects that my husband often wondered aloud, 'Do you believe in charging these people?' Offering so much complimentary overtime hours of work to clients and potential clients that I often wondered out loud, 'Will I ever see my family?' The hours and hours and hours..... yes, even more hours spent reading, surfing, typing and brainstorming that went into each and every day including while driving in the car (my favourite place to zone outnot too safe as Im the driver!) The strange and mounting stacks of post-it notes, text messages and note-to-self reminders that accumulate on a regular basis. Designing, printing, implementing and... STOP!.... redoing that whole process again four more times.... then finally holding the end product of my own design: business cards, pamphlets, brochures, posters, leaflets, gift certificates, coupon offers, discount cards and general advertising genius. One idea. One Mom. One woman. One great big successyours for hire.
