  Introduction:

  Water in a fibre optic splice closure will corrode the closure components and attenuate the fibres. If the water is allowed to freeze immediate fibre failure will result. Most administrations have devices installed in their fibre closures to detect the presence of water. Drying o flooded closure has been a problem. The water is poured and wiped from the closure. Then desiccant packages are laid in the closure to absorb the remainder of the moisture. These packages are changed periodically until the closure is completely dry. This entails at least one and usually several revisits. Metallic components of the closure will corrode during this extended drying period.

  ARMINIUS 4073 QUICK DRY had been developed to rectify the problems associated with drying moisture in a fibre optic splice closure.

  ARMINIUS 4073 QUICK DRY is compatible with all known fibre coatings, splicing connectors, splice sleeves and closure materials. It is designed to dry moisture from all types of fibre optic closures.
