Aquametrix Inc Dissolved Oxygen Control System.
AquaMetrix provides a sensor mounting arrangement whereby the sensor is mounted inside a floatball with its membrane face located tangentially on the submerged surface of the floatball. The floatball is secured to the railing through a pipe and pivot arrangement which allows it to float fully on the surface and at the same time permit easy access to the sensor. The floatball is free to move on the surface of the process liquid. The accelerated motion of the liquid past the sensor face due to waves, turbulence, and currents in the aeration tank, creates a cleaning action which keeps the sensor face sufficiently clean so that intervals between cleaning and recalibration can extend to greater than three months. Compared with other chemical or grinding type sensor cleaning techniques, this method is low cost and requires minimal maintenance.
Sensor replacement is easily and cheaply accomplished with a cartridge containing sealed electrodes, electrolyte and membrane.
The sensor assembly is connected to a AquaMetrix Dissolved Oxygen instrument which controls the blowers supplying oxygen to the process.
