ANOGEN is a trade name of Yes Biotech Laboratories Ltd., a Canadian-based company located near Toronto, Ontario. Anogen has been producing products for research applications since its incorporation in 1989, and specializes in the research and development of biopharmaceutical and immunodiagnostic products based on monoclonal antibody technology. Over the past decade, Anogen has established a large hybridoma cell bank and manufactures over three hundred monoclonal antibodies specific for various cytokines, growth factors, hormones, cell membrane proteins, tumor markers, and viral proteins. Anogen also manufactures nearly fifthy different immunoassay kits as well as polyclonal antibodies, matched antibody pairs, immunoglobulins, hybridomas, bioactive peptides, and recombinant protreins, all of wich are marketed worldwide. Anogen is commited to developing and commercializing novel antibody-based biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of cancer, autoimmune, inflammatory and cardiovascular diseases.
Anogen upgraded their quality system to ISO 13485: 96 Medical Devices in 2003. ISO 13485 is a precise set of requirements for manufacturers of ' in vitro ' Medical Diagnostic products, and the implementation of this system is indicative of Anogen's financial and ethical commitment to develop and provide the highest quality products and services.
The three major strategies employed by Anogen include: (1) Strategic alliance and partnering with established pharmaceutical companies for product development, regulatory filing, and marketing. (2) Strong collaborations and associations with academic institutions for acquiring cutting-edge technology and acceleration of early stage product research and development, and (3) Licensing and acquisition of new concepts, technologies, and products at early stages of developments in order to continually fuel Anogen's product pipeline.
