Cable Lubricants
Bridge Hangers
Bridge hangers to suspend power or telecommunication cables in
conduits under or on the side of bridges. They are constructed
of fibreglass structural materials with all hardware of
stainless steel or galvanized steel. Systems are designed to
each bridge employing guy stranding and bracing to employ
expansion joints as required. Virtually any diameter conduit
and any number and configuration is possible. The construction
is extremely corrosion-resistant.
Duct Rodders
Duct rooders are available in various configurations to rod or
fish conduits to install cables. Small fibreglass portable
manual rodders will rod ducts 1/2'' to 8'' diameter. Steel rod
units are all-hydraulic driven and are truck or tailer-mounted.
The largeer units will rod to distances of 2000 tf (600m) and
allow rapid rod rotation to minimize friction and negotiate
bends.
Reel Loaders
Reel loaders are hydraulic-driven devices mounted on trucks or
trailers to allow one operator to load cable reels for transport
to site and payout the cable. Reel sizes from 1500 lb to 20000
lb, and diameters to 108'' with capability to handle two or more
reels per vehicle are possible. Self-propelled trailers are
available. Cable recovery option is available. Supplied in
versions using spindle bar or hubless. Winches, ventilators,
dewatering pumps, inverters, compressors, etc. available as
options.
Cable Pullers/Blowers
Combination duct rodder/cable pullers with pull capacities to
24000 lb truck-mounted. Smaller pullers with capacities of
6500#
to 12000# to pull cables into ducts and raceways situated in
cable vaults, buildings, transformer bases, etc. Fibreoptic
pullers available can measure, limit, and record tension to
avoid
damage. Can be used as prime or intermediate pullers for
underground or aerial installations. Cable blowers will install
fibreoptic cables in small diameter ducts using air pressure.
Cable Scrapper
Cable Scrapper will remove power and communication cables,
(copper, aluminum, lead, etc) from underground conduits. Pull
cable to the surface, cut into 4 ft lengths, load into trucks or
containers for transport to scrap handler. Cable diameters 1/2''
to 4.50''removed at speeds up to 90 feet per minute. Will also
cut aerial cables and strand dropped on the ground. Contracting
available.
Cable Cleaner
Cable cleaners and degreasers supplied in various packages
(liquid and on towelettes) to clean power and telecommunication
cables (coax, twisted pair, fibreoptic) prior to splicing. Will
not harm conductor or insulating materials. Low toxicity and
high flash point for worker safety. Can also be used to clean
motors, transformers, hot sticks, aerial device insulating
booms, etc.
Tags & Labels
Hot-stamped poly and embossed aluminum tags & labels to identify
cable runs, gas mains, valving, infrastructure, etc. Can be
installed on poles, pedestals, transformers, fences, to sign any
application. Pressure-sensitive products. Bar code capability.
Poly products are UV-resistant. Utility identification a
specialty, but any custom alphanumeric or text is possible.
Absorbents
Hydrophobic and all-purpose absorbents available. Supplied in
various configurations - pads, booms, socks, pillows, etc.
All-purpose absorb petroleum and water-based liquids.
Hydrophobic will not absorb water, but will absorb
petroleum-based liquids. Also used for jet fuel.
Fiber Optics
Wide range of products to install fiber optic cables. Includes
pullers, blowers, lubricants, sheaves, hardware, accessories,
cleaners, identification tags and labels.
Tents
Wide variety of tents are available, designed for utility
outside plant applications. Includes tents for manholes, vans,
poles. Some tents can be joined together to give larger work
areas, Flame resistant materials used.
