For over 65 years, ALPHAIR Ventilating Systems has been
supplying the Mining, Industrial, and Commercial HVAC industries
with innovative, reliable and cost effective fans. From a modern
well-equipped 56,000 square foot facility in Winnipeg, ALPHAIR
manufactures an advanced series of custom Centrifugal and Axial
Fans. The Cyclone Custom Engineered Centrifugal Fan Line is
perfectly suited to applications that require moving air at
higher pressures or volume, or air that is comprised of hot
gases (up to 1000F/540C), corrosive gases or abrasive
particulate. Sizes range from 24' to 120' wheel diameters.
Materials of construction include: carbon steels, stainless
steels, aluminum, FRP, and other special corrosion and heat
resistant materials.
ALPHAIR is recognized internationally for the quality and long
lasting performance of its JetStream Series Axial Fans. These
fans range from 24' diameter medium duty vane axial fans, to
148' diameter mine ventilation fans. Compatible JetStream
accessories and replacement parts include fan rotors, nose caps,
inlet bells, standard and heavy duty butterfly backdraft
dampers, inlet and discharge cones.
ALPHAIR is a member of the Air Movement and Control Association
(AMCA), and subscribes to the stringent testing and rating
standards laid out by that organization. Each project is planned
and administered under an ISO 9002 Quality Assurance System. As
well as this attention to Quality, ALPHAIR is also certified by
the Canadian Welding Bureau W59 standards.

Custom engineered centrifugal fans suited to applications that
involve moving air at higher pressures or hot gases (up to 1000
degrees fahrenheit/540 degrees celsius), corrosive gases or
abrasive (dust laden) gases. The Cyclone Custom Engineered
Centrifugal Fan Line offers six centrifugal wheel designs
including airfoil, backward curved, backward inclined, radial
tipped, radial shrouded, and open radial bladed. Sizes range
from 24' to 120' wheel diameters. These wheels are designed to
operate at conservative stress levels. Single and double width
designs handle up to 1 million cfm, and static pressures up to
150 inWg. Materials of construction include carbon steels,
stainless steels, aluminum, FRP and other special corrosion and
heat resistant materials.

The JetStream Series Axial Fan Line range from 24' diameter
medium duty vane axial fans to 148' diameter heavy duty mine
ventilation fans. Single and two-stage designs deliver up to 1.5
million cfm, and total pressures up to 20 inWg, per stage.

Fan Accessories
A complete line of axial fan accessories that include heavy duty
butterfly backdraft dampers ranging from 18' to 104' I.D., in
three standard design orientations; horizontal, vertical up and
down flows. Custom built dampers up to 20ft diameter, elbows,
silencers (mining duty), monitoring and protection equipment,
discharge duct adapters, variable inlet vanes (VIV's), bulk-head
and raise collar adapters, monitoring and switch gear controls,
skid base designs for mobile units, reinforced housing.
Replacement and spare parts for axial fans including rotors,
standard and heavy duty inlet bells, nose caps, inlet and
discharge cones.
Accessories for centrifugal fans including inlet and outlet
silencers, vibration monitoring devices, variable frequency
drives, inlet and outlet expansion joints, inlet and outlet
electrically or pneumatically operated dampers.
Axial Mine Fans
ALPHAIR's heavy duty axial fans are designed specifically for
main mine ventilation. JetStream adjustable pitch fans deliver
volumes up to 1 million cfm and total pressures up to 28'
(7kPa). Sizes range from 76' to 148'. Engineers and production
staff can develop complete ventilation systems including the
design and fabrication of foundations, electrical systems,
monitoring systems and PCL.
ALPHAIR offers complete return, supply and booster ventilation
packages including raise collar connections, airlock doors,
ductwork, heaters and motors.

ALPHAIR field and service staff can perform a number of fan
installations and maintenance functions including balancing,
vibration analysis, bearing analysis, fan erection supervision,
commissioning and start-up, aerodynamic systems analysis and
testing, performance optimization analysis, sound and vibration
testing, stress anlaysis.
Repair and re-build services of ALPHAIR and other fan
manufacturers. Predictive maintenance systems that reduce the
possibility of a breakdown.
