Plastics of Ottawa is a privately owned corporation with over 28 years of experience in design, manufacture and installation of everything from custom display cases to illuminated exterior signs.

In between we sell fibreglass products to build and repair boats, canoes and windsurfers. We carry a full line of 3M adhesives (industrial). Skylights are another product we supply with many styles (from curbmount to pyramid) and variations in lense colours (clear, white and Bronze).

Our showroom and plant are located just south of the Queensway (Hwy. 417) at Bank Street and our store hours are Monday to Friday from 8: 30 AM - 5: 00 PM and Saturdays from 8: 30 - NOON.

We have supplied our products to customers from Jamaica, the United States and all across Canada, so feel free to try us with your requirements for any of the above and expect quality and service to be #1. CUSTOM FABRICATION

Full line of custom work is available. Free estimates on your designs, or tell us your requirements and we will design it for you. We work with such materials as acrylic, Implex, Lexan, polyethylene, polypropylene, Kydex, foam core and Octolux. Some of the items fabricated are menu holders, brochure holders, display cases (museum quality), holding tanks, ducting, Slatzwall shelving, food bins, door handles and art bases to name a few. EXTERIOR SIGNS

We also offer a full line to exterior signage including pylons, channel letter, facias and ground signs. Materials used include aluminum, plexi, Lexan, steel and wood. Each of our signs include a full 1 year warranty on all parts, labour and workmanship. We use Allanson ballasts H/O fluorescent lamps. All of our signs are CSA approved. As part of our full survice policy at Plastics of Ottawa, we offer a complete CAD service, experienced sales team that work closely with the client to ensure that the client receives the most effective sign possible. We have a full knowledge of municipal sign by - laws and procedures required to install correctly sized and located signs. We also service existing signs that are in need of new ballasts, lamps, sections of neon, wiring or transformers.

INTERIOR SIGNAGE

We supply and manufacture complete lines of interior signage finding signs i. e.: directory boards and directional signs including door and desk nameplates. For your reception area or entrance we manufacture custom cutout letters or logos. These can be manufactured from a myriad of materials some of which are acrylic, octolux, brass, aluminum, etc. If cutouts are not appropriate for your logo we can reproduce it by silk-screening, computer cut vinyl or data imaging. We stock all building code required signage, such as ' In Case of Fire Signs ', stairwell ID and emergency exit signs.

FIBERGLASS MATERIAL

Plastics of Ottawa is your distributor for polyester resin, mats, cloths, gelcoat, acetone, mold releases, brushes, fiberglass cleaners and 3M 5200 marine sealant. The complete line of ' WEST SYSTEM ' epoxy products are available: epoxy resin, hardeners, additives, reinforcing materials, tools and supplies.

SKYLIGHTS

Plastics of Ottawa are distributors for Artistic Skylight Domes, manufacturers of custom skylights from 14 1/2 ' x 14 1/2 ' up to any size and in all shapes. Acrylic domes with aluminum frames encased in vinyl are available and provide exceptional energy performance. Artisitic skylights are manufactured in conformance with the Canadian Government Specifications CGSB 63 - GP - 14. Both frames and domes are available in any colour as well as single, double or triple glazing and offer a 2 year warranty.

  NEOLITE Emergency Directional Signage during power failures.

  NEOLITE Safety Products are one of the brightest Glow in the Dark products available today. Brighter than other products because NEOLITE materials perform more efficiently over a broader spectrum of activating light sources.

  NEOLITE Safety Products last longer and are easy to clean because they have a protective finish. They are made of ultraviolet stabilized plastic and offer greater impact and weather resistance than other products. No cracking, edge splitting of delamination because NEOLITE products are constructed of layers which are thermo-hermatically sealed. NEOLITE materials can take repeated flexing and in the case of films even creasing, without losing their physical and luminous properties. They do not depend only on their substrate for their strength as do many other luminous materials. The ability of NEOLITE materials to function over a broad temperature range adds a new dimension to their use.

  NEOLITE films are pre-shrunk to reduce variations due to weather, temperature and aging. Self-adhesive materials have a new specially developed permanent adhesive system for longer lasting adhesion. NEOLITE rigid materials incorporate high-impact modifiers against cracking and shattering of edges when cut. This not only produces finished products of high quality, but also makes handling easier during conditioning and application of all types of surfaces. NEOLITE materials will not support combustion when the flame source is removed. NEOLITE materials have undergone extensive quality control testing.
