Advanced Energy Management Ltd. has been ac active member of the controls' industry since 1985. Beginning with just three people, we have grown over the pas fifteen years to a staff of more than twenty full time employees. Our management team, among them, brings more than 130 years of industry and business experience to our operation.
We are involved in new construction, retrofits, and preventive maintenance service, including a major PM contract with the Province of New Brunswick (DSS) for the control systems in 242 schools province-wide.
In September 1994, Advanced Energy Management Ltd. opened a branch in Halifax to better meet the needs of our Nova Scotia customers. Our sales and service representative there has full access to sales and technical support from the Moncton office, and extensive experience in the control industry.
In August 1998, a new branch was opened in St-John's Newfoundland. The office was equipped and manned to take on any size project from opening day.
Our major suppliers, Tour & Andersson Ltd. and Alerton Technologies have been working with control technology for decades, and have for the past thirty years, specialized in computerized control and energy management systems. They also manufacture the necessary control hardware, and all systems are certified ISO 9001 quality standards and have LON Works and Native BacNet compatibility respectively.
Advanced Energy Management Ltd. can service control systems whose components are not Tour & Andersson and Alerton Technologies. Many of our staffs, for instance, are former Honeywell employees with an excellent knowledge of those particular product lines. As well, our staff boasts licensed electricians, instrumentation technicians, and refrigeration specialists who can resolve any control problems that might come their way. Additionally, AEM has, based in Moncton, three qualified in-house software programmers, one in Halifax, and one in St. John's.
Preventive Maintenance Service is provided by our team of qualified controls technicians and automation specialists based in Moncton, Fredericton, Campbellton, Saint John, Halifax and St. John's. Most replacement components, are available from our office, or are easily accessible from our suppliers. For contract customers, we provide regularly scheduled maintenance, and 24-hour emergency service.
The"school contract"which keeps five of our staff people busy ten months of the year, has its own specific maintenance requirements that include checks and calibration of all thermostats, verification that all exhaust fans and dampers are operating properly, amperage reading of all SCR's, verification of night setback and DHW settings, etc. We provide reports on individual schools to each district and to the Department of Supply and Services via the Internet.
A typical private service contract check might include a filter change, check of all controls and mechanical equipment, recommendations on possible energy savings and dependent on the season, start-up or shut down of the A/C unit. As well, on projects for which we were the original control contract, we also provide a once-a-year run through of the complete automation system via modem from our Moncton office. A new feature of our private service contracts in New Brunswick now includes the yearly leak testing of A/C units, which is now mandatory under the Provincial Department of the Environment.
