Acadian Seaplants Limited is the largest independent manufacturer of seaweed products in North America. It is engaged primarily in the cultivation, processing and development of value-added seaweed and seaweed products. Through seven processing plants located in the Maritime provinces, it processes thousands of tons of products annually, used as food additives, in fertilizers, in animal feed and in the brewing process. The company has also recently introduced edible seaweeds for human consumption. Over 98% of these products are exported to over 55 countries worldwide with the majority of these export sales occurring in the United States, Asia and Europe.

Acadian Seaplants has been producing marine plant products for over 30 years, achieving worldwide distribution and recognition as a diversified manufacturer of innovative and high quality products from a variety of seaweeds. It is 100% Canadian owned with all of its products having 100% Canadian content.
