AK ELECTROMAGNETIQUE, Inc. is a small business corporation chartered in Canada. AK Electromagnetique specializes in the development and manufacturing of microwave oven radiation checker, radiation hazard meters at L-band (MSAT/INMARSAT band) and UHF (800-900 MHz band), fixed and mobile antennas for mobile satellite (MSAT and INMARSAT) services.
We take pride in delivering our customers more than just a high quality product. We also provide service - specialized attention to individual requirements. Customer contentment is the prime concern of the company. With emphasis on 'design for production' AK Electromagnetique works closely with its customers and is engaged in joint efforts combining resources and technical expertise, making high performance/cost effective a reality for commercial industry.
AK Electromagnetique Inc. has occupied a building including 115, 000 square feet of open land in Coteau Station, Quebec, 40 km west of the Montreal (Dorval) International Airport. A Railway Station (Canadian Pacific and Canadian National) is situated adjacent to the property. We maintain our own ANTENNA TEST RANGE ROOM (Anechoic Chamber) activities as per customer requests and for the verification of the performance of our products.
Our highly qualified engineering personnel will be happy to discuss your antenna requirements. One of our engineering personnel has contributed four technical books entitled: (1) RADAR ABSORBING MATERIALS, (2) MICROWAVE CAVITY ANTENNAS, and (3) FIXED AND MOBILE TERMINAL ANTENNAS. (4) ANTENNA DESIGN USING FIBEROPTICS

Antenna Model: QUAD-AQ-04
and 1.647 GHz.
AK Electromagnetique has developed a high gain antenna model HEL-AQ-14 for fixed applications. The antenna is supplied with an integral radome structure for environmental protection. The input signal is fed to the antenna by means of a SMA female connector.
Microwave leakage through microwave ovens give a potential hazard to users. This leakage checker provides measurements in mW/cm. The exposure limit for the general public is 1 mW/cm. If this is exceeded, it could be harmful for the individual. The leakage checker does not require any batteries.
Note: THIS METER SHOULD BE KEPT AWAY FROM MAGNETS.
AK Electromagnetique developed a cross-shaped, low-gain dipole antenna at L-band for MSAT ground data terminal applications. The antenna plastic radome is screwed on a 5 inch diameter metallic ground plane. The height of the radome is about 4.5 inches. A single coaxial connector is connected to the input of the antenna. The maximum gain of the antenna is about 4-5 dBic approximately at 45 degree elevation plane. The return loss of the antenna is better than -14 dB in the frequency range of 1.5250 to 1.661 GHz.
This radiation hazard checker has been developed to check the radiation level through cables, connectors, antennas and power amplifier in the vicinity of human presence at 824 to 896 MHz. The exposure limit for the general public is dependant on the frequency (0.55 mW/cm at 824 MHz and 0.06 mW/cm at 896 MHz). If this is exceeded, it could be harmful for the individual. The leakage checker does not require any batteries.
Note: THIS METER SHOULD BE KEPT AWAY FROM MAGNETS.
This radiation hazard checker has been developed to check the radiation level through cables, connectors, antennas and power amplifier in the vicinity of human presence at 1.52-1.67 GHz. The exposure limit for the general public is 1 mW/cm. If this is exceeded, it could be harmful for the individual. The leakage checker does not require any batteries.
Note: THIS METER SHOULD BE KEPT AWAY FROM MAGNETS.
