AFS develops and markets environmental technologies that are currently in use worldwide. Designed to reduce emissions and provide outstanding performance for a variety of engines and vehicle types, our products include engine management systems for diesel and gasoline engines.
Our electronically controlled fuel injection systems are customized for specific engine model requirements in order to allow diesel or gasoline engines to operate using natural gas while retaining excellent power and performance. These systems are currently in use in fleets around the world in everything from forklifts and cars to large vehicles like buses and refuse trucks. Our Dual Fuel system has also been adapted for use in stationary generator applications.
AFS' technologies have repeated passed the world's most stringent emission standards and we continue to expand our line of products through continuous research and development projects.

AFS' proprietary software systems optimize performance and emission reductions in all types of load and operating conditions. This ensures better fuel economy in addition to the engine responsiveness and emissions reductions customers require.
With an extensive technology development program, AFS is one of the world leaders in the creation and application of clean air engine technologies.
AFS is now involved in a contract in Iran to convert 469 litre, 4, 300 horsepower diesel engines to run on a mixture of diesel fuel and natural gas.

AFS manufactures and sells multiport fuel injection engine management systems that allow diesel, gasoline, or propane engines to operate using natural gas. AFS offers several systems to better meet specific customer requirements. Applications include medium to heavy duty trucks and buses, stationary generators, cars, minibuses, and forklift trucks.
AFS manufactures and sells a diverse line of environmental technology products. This includes its proprietary 100% natural gas engine management systems, natural gas regulator systems, natural gas / LPG fuel injectors and a stand-alone spark ignition system.
AFS produces proprietary engine control systems to greatly reduce harmful engine emissions. Currently in use in fleets around the world, AFS' engine control systems have passed some of the world's most stringent emissions standards while still providing outstanding fuel economy, power, and performance.
The AFS electronically controlled multiport fuel injection system called the Sparrow enables gasoline, propane, or diesel engines to operate using 100% natural gas. This provides emission reductions as well as excellent performance. In many cases, given the lower price of natural gas over conventional fuels, the fuel cost savings is quite significant. Applications for the Sparrow system range from buses and microbuses to forklift trucks and ice resurfacers.
The AFS Sparrow is an electronic fuel injection system that enables diesel or gasoline engines to operate using compressed natural gas. With millions of miles of onroad experience, the Sparrow provides proven drivability, power, performance, and emissions reductions. AFS's proprietary software system is customized for each engine model to enable the system to provide optimal engine performance in all types of operating conditions. The sophisticated Sparrow System has demonstrated better power and torque than base engines while providing dramatic emission reductions. The Sparrow's compact, modular design requires less installation time and no modifications to gasoline base engines.
The new optional AFS electronic spark ignition system is fully integrated with the Sparrow control system to enable diesel base engines to operate using natural gas. The high-energy spark and proprietary software systems provide optimal performance and torque even in variable load conditions. The spark ignition is also available as the Raven stand-alone ignition system for 4 and 6 cylinder engines.
The AFS Systems and components enable diesel engines to operate using natural gas while retaining diesel-like performance. AFS Systems are able to provide great fuel economy and emissions reductions. In fleet use around the world, AFS products have demonstrated excellent drivability, power, and performance, while reducing harmful exhaust fumes. Using electronic fuel injection, AFS's proprietary software systems optimize performance under all loads and operating conditions. AFS engine systems have passed stringent exhaust emission standards established under EURO, the EPA, and the Japanese Ministry of Transportation.
Additional Benefits and Features: Natural gas is often less expensive than diesel. In some countries, heavy-use vehicles can recoup the cost of an natural gas system within one year through fuel cost savings and government incentives. AFS Systems are designed to meet new stringent emission requirements while maintaining good performance and fuel efficiency.
Operating performance is comparable to that of the base diesel engine. Natural gas usage generally results in reduced engine maintenance and extended engine life. Operation noise is reduced compared to diesel engine operation.
