Heating Boilers & Steam Generating Units Nes
Carbon Monoxide Detection And Control Units.
The ACME unit will detect a selected level of carbon monoxide (CO) at its location (similar to the way a thermostat detects temperature) and start ventilation fans, open dampers, etc.. It will also activate an alarm if the CO level continues to increase to a second level. Centralized control panels for CO detection & control panels can control up to four independent ventilation systems. Customers can make substantial energy savings through intermittent operation of exhaust and make-up (heated) air systems. The unit is suitable for garages, tunnels, warehouses, etc.
Co And Co2 Detection Systems.
Indoor Air Quality problems are among the worst challenges building owners face today. The installation of CO detection in undeground parking garages will ensure that proper ventilation is provided when car exhaust buildup exceeds 35 PPM CO. Building owners will also save money because the ventilation system will operate only when required. For office spaces, the Acme CO2-2000 will control fresh air intake to keep the CO2 level below the 1000 PPM level recommended by ASHRAE. Employees will be more productive because good air quality will be maintained and building owners will save money since they will only heat or cool the right amount of fresh air intake required to maintain comfortable conditions.
Automatic Scraper Strainers
Lakes and rivers are an ideal source for cooling water, provided that the water can be properly filtered to remove solids that clog up and damage expensive process and heat transfer equipment. Zebra mussels provide an exceptional challenge, because killing them is only part of the problem; they then have to be prevented from entering the process flows once they are no longer stuck to the walls of the intake pipe. ACME provides a complementary process to water chlorination for the effective removal of zebra mussels.
The ACME automatic scraper strainer contains a cylindrical screen with flow moving from inside out, with a motor driven scraping device that makes full contact with the screen area and rotates at 6 RPM, cleaning the screen surface thoroughly. Dead zebra mussels and other debris collect on the inside of the screen and are scraped free, falling into a collection area at the bottom of the strain body. Periodically, a waste valve opens, permitting the debris to be blown down to a settling pond or other waste treatment process.
The scraper strainers can handle solids from 150 m in diameter up to 15 cm in size, through a variety of strainer body designs. They are used for intake water filtration, wastewater treatment and process filtration in the pulp and paper, chemical, and textile industries, among others. These units have proven themselves to be far superior to conventional automatic backwash strainers because of their ability to remove aggressive, large solids (even bottles and cans) and keep the filter screen clean under heavy loading.
